Panama Ports Company acknowledges the importance not only of its staff’s continuous welfare, but also of the care of the community and environment in which it lives and operates. This is why we have decided to join the global initiative to help with the environment.
Each year an estimated 500 billion plastic bags are consumed worldwide and end up as litter. Hundreds of thousands of marine mammals die every year from eating discarded plastic bags mistaken for food.

Our over consumption of plastic disposable bags has gotten out of hand, still it is possible to gradually improve our environment. Our actions count, every small step you make adds up to a big difference, that’s why PPC has decided to give each one of its 2000 employees a reusable shopping bag as part of the global initiative to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
