Panama Ports Company

Below are some of our positions and their work descriptions.
Position: Equipment and Transportation Supervisor
Description: Maintains the rolling equipment of the port in optimal condition, gives support to and provides team of workers with all supplies necessary for port operations.

Position: Equipment Control Assistant
Description: Assists equipment supervisor in the management and operational functioning of the equipment and transportation vehicles.

Position: Maritime Services Officer
Description: Assigns docking sites to ships that arrive at the port or at the pier, and keeps track that a continuous flow of ships in the port takes place.

Position: Mooring Foreman
Description: Keeps control of the hours of arrival and departure of ships and supervises mooring crew so they comply with the assigned duties. Keeps direct communication with the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) personnel on different mooring operations.

Position: Moorage Worker
Description: Performs moorage and unmooring operations of ships arriving at the port, as well as other related operations.

Position: Tow Tractor Operator
Description: Operates safely and efficiently the tow tractor to move containers and other types of cargo in the port yard in the stowing and un-stowing operations at the pier and in the yard in that the movement of containers is as fluent as possible.

Position: Winch Crane Operator
Description: Operates safely and efficiently the cranes handling cargo and coordinates with operations foreman the instructions to move the cargo and coordinate with the rest of the team, the movements that should be carried out.

Position: Gantry Crane Operator
Description: Assists operations foreman in choosing the riggings and operates safely and efficiently the handling cargo cranes to carry out stowing and un-stowing cargo operations.

Position: Ship Planner
Description: Is responsible for preplanning and planning of ship cargo and guarantees good management during cargo stowing and storage in the container yard.

Position: Yard Planner
Description: Coordinates all aspects necessary so that operations at the containers’ yard and the surrounding areas are efficient.

Position: Yard Planning Assistant
Description: Updates delivery of different materials required by the departments and sections of the company.

Position: Documents Supervisor
Description: Handles documents, prepares weekly reports.

Position: Heavy Equipment / RTG Operator
Description:
Operates safely and efficiently the cranes in the yard and works hard to keep the containers in the yard move as fluent as possible.
