The “Good Deeds Day” is an annual tradition of good deeds. All over the world, hundreds of thousands choose to volunteer and help others, putting into practice the simple idea that every single person can do something good, be it large or small, to improve the lives of others and positively change the world.
This year PPC’s “Good Deeds Day” initiative, “We can’t let the most beautiful thing in our industry die’, organized a beach clean-up activity to collect garbage that affects the health of wildlife, people and local economies near Port of Balboa and surrounding areas.
PPC, worked this activity with the community of La Boca, The National Police, Environmental Non Profit Organizations and the International Maritime University of Panama (UMIP). More than 120 volunteers rallied together with the common goal of collecting and documenting the trash littering the coastline near the Port.
